About the area

With stunning country parks, award-winning schools, fascinating local history and great transport links to Salford & Manchester, the Swinton and Worsley area has so much to offer. Our third and newest office located in the heart of Swinton serves in excess of 50,000 residential properties throughout Swinton, Worsley, Walkden, Boothstown, and Prestwich, ranging from pre-1900 terraced homes to the most exclusive residences costing in excess of 2 million pounds.

With excellent transport links, the area is well connected to Manchester and the North-West. Junctions at Pendlebury and Worsley provide access to the M60 and M62 Motorways, whilst the A580 East Lancashire Road runs directly through Swinton and Worsley, linking Manchester with Liverpool. Two train stations as well as numerous bus routes offer convenient options for those looking to commute via public transport.

Having seen significant regeneration in recent years, the area benefits from the shopping areas of Swinton Square and Walkden, along with the addition of many popular new home developments.

Major landmarks include Salford Town Hall & Civic Centre standing on the original site of Swinton Industrial School, Grade I listed Wardley Hall and the Old Court House in Worsley, as well as the former home of world famous painter L.S. Lowry. Picturesque Worsley Green and Clifton Country Park are two of the area’s popular tranquil settings with many more to be found nearby.

Alison rated Hills Residential 5 stars

The team at Hills provided guidance on the presentation of the property in order to get a quick sale. Prior to the property being put on the market they were prebooking multiple viewings so that there was plenty of interest. The first offer which I accepted "fell through" due to finance issues however they were on the ball to arrange a subsequent viewing and that couple also put in an offer. So i was informed of the withdrawal and subsequent offer in the same phone call. Hills have a small team who undertake the viewings, valuations and the paperwork. As such, when I called I would request a callback but then follow up a couple of hours later. From speaking to the buyer they also experienced the same and if the buyers hadn't of followed up on making the viewing appointment they may well have missed the opportunity to purchase the property. I accepted the offer on the property two and half weeks after being put on the market in January and the house completion was seven weeks later.
